I was flabbergasted to learn that orcs had feelings and that fighting them and taking their magic loot was bad behavior, and that pretending to be a wizard clearing land to build a tower was supporting real-world colonialism. Or at least that modern gamers felt that way. I know it put a halt to my buying of 5E stuff. (I don't play 5E, or 4E, or 3E, but I used to buy them just to read.) I wonder if this shift affected D&D sales?
I honestly doubt it. I think we're just seeing a pandemic bubble burst. I hope the former employees all land on their feet.
